A liquor cabinet, also called cellarette, is a small cabinet, available in various sizes, shapes, and designs used to store bottles of wine or whiskey. They appeared in Europe as early as the fifteenth century and first appeared in America in the early eighteenth century. These liquor cabinets were popular through the nineteenth century. They were made of wood and were often designed to conceal them from the casual observer. They were found in pubs, taverns, and homes of the wealthy.
